DMX Disses Drake, Rick Ross & More [Video]

Spotted: HHDX

This is why i think DMX is the man, he just don't give a flying Sh*t haha. He goes in on Drake and Rick Ross, he says a few things that defiantly caught my attention. Check out this video interview with X and the Breakfast Club which they talk about such things like X being on Def Jam during the fall out back when Jay-Z was President. X speaks on how he happens to get screwed over by Jay, some talk about his drugs problem, speaking on how he dislikes Drakes entire movement and how he is not impressed with what Rick Ross represents, to giving proper respect towards J. Cole and to who X is impressed by in the game and more.
"I see what's really good. You trying to eliminate the competition. At first you retire, then get me off the label and now you're back rapping again," he added as a guest on The Breakfast Club. "That was just some bullshit. You know what it is. That was getting rid of the competition."

Later, he was open about his feelings towards Rick Ross. X shared that he is not impressed and added that he feels Ross' subject matter is not diverse.

"I'm just not impressed," he said when a radio personality inquired about Rick Ross' lyrical skills. "He's aight, man. He talks about eating and girlfriends too much. How much can a nigga eat? How much weed can you smoke? Let's talk about something else...I see a whole 'nother side of the coin, son."

He was then asked if he liked Drake, to which he replied with a simple, "No." He then went further by saying he doesn't like anything about the Young Money emcee.

"No," he confirmed. "I don't like anything about Drake. I don't like his fucking voice. I don't like what he talks about. I don't like his face. I don't like the way he walks. Nothing."

DMX is the fuckin man. I love that he doesn't feed into all the politic-in' that goes on in Hip Hop and jump on the band wagon of an artist he doesn't particularly care for just because he's currently buzzing and having mainstream success. People have become too afraid to voice their opinions because they're worried about being labeled a "hater" and having the media set one up against each other. In terms of 'dollars' I understand why artists take this approach but at the same time it takes some of the authenticity away from Hip Hop. Hip Hop needs more people like X, he's still thinks with the same mentality as when Hip Hop wasn't as politically driven and that type of mind state is much needed in today's Hip Hop climate.
